Season 2024 is upon us! I hope you are all as excited as I am.
It has been fantastic to see so many of our junior and senior players back on the fields and courts for trainings and pre-season matches. The happiness that sport brings to our Community makes all the effort our Committee and volunteers put in, worthwhile.
With the season kicking off 5/6/7 of April, I would like to invite all Chatswood Rangers members and friends of the Club to join us at the Great Northern Hotel for a celebration of the season kicking off. We will have a Rangers Area from 12:30pm onwards where teams can get together and relax after their matches, or ahead of matches the next day.
The Great Northern is putting on $15 pizzas for Rangers members (you need to sign up for a loyalty card and let them know you are from Rangers – normally $10 but free for Rangers) and we will run some raffles and competitions. We want everyone at Rangers to feel welcome and part of the Club, so find some time to pop by and say hello, and meet some of your fellow Rangers.

The 2024 Season Starts…
We have over 30 community teams from U6 up to U18, with many new players joining the club this year. With the season starting on the weekend of the 6th April, many teams from U8 and up participated in the Rangers Pre Season Round-Robin event held at Chatswood High School on Sunday 24th March. It was great to see so many teams participate and get a run out before the season starts. This event was so well received that we will start planning for next year in May! We will look to expand this event and include all age groups.
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped set up on the day and man the BBQ.

Let the games begin!
Round 1 Games start next weekend – 5th, 6th, 7th April. Keep an eye out for an email this weekend that will have important information, including the grade and fixtures for your team.
Fixtures and game results during the season can be accessed via: www.playhq.com
- On the home page, search for Chatswood Rangers
- Click on the ‘Chatswood Rangers Netball Club’ icon that will appear
- Select ‘Winter 2024’ (for either the Net Set Go or Winter Competition program)
- Select your team name (e.g. Rangers 06)
All of the fixtures for the season will appear. After games are played, you will also be able to see the game results.
Please note the Net Set Go fixtures are yet to be uploaded in PlayHQ but should be available by end of the Easter weekend.

For those who are new to the NSNA competition or who just haven’t yet mastered the court layout, court numbers are shown on the map below and painted on the courts. The map can also be accessed on the NSNA website at: nsna.com.au/about-us/court-map/
Uniforms
All players will need a uniform for Round 1 games next week. Please order your uniforms as soon as possible via the online shop at https://chatswoodrangers.com.au/shop/
IMPORTANT – delayed arrival of new Netball Uniform T-shirts
For those who have placed an order (or planning to order) a netball t-shirt, our stock delivery has unfortunately been delayed and will not arrive before Round 1 games next week. For Rounds 1 & 2 only, players may wear black bottoms and a plain white t-shirt. Please let your coach know if this affects you so we can arrange for appropriate pull-over bibs to be available for your team’s game next weekend. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

Welcome to the 2024 netball season!
We had a great turnout for our first training session the other week and have continued to build in the lead up to our first games.
Games start on 6th April and we will have another week after that before breaking for 2 weeks for the school holidays. There will be no training during the school holidays.
I look forward to seeing everyone on the courts.

We will pay our respects to service men and women past and present at the Great Northern Hotel. More details will be shared closer to the date.
RANGERS RAFFLE
In conjunction with the Blue Presidents, Rangers are running a raffle to raise money. 50% of the money raised will go to Rangers and 50% will go to the fundraising efforts of the Blue Presidents in their Cancer Council Rally.
Tickets can be purchased in person from Rangers officials, or via the online shop.
Prizes include:

- 4 General Admission Tickets to Sydney FC Match
- $100 voucher at Springbok Delights
- $100 voucher at Super Nash Brothers Willoughby
