Rangers RAP – 27/04/2024

I hope everyone who was on holidays enjoyed some well deserved rest and relaxation with family and friends. It is always good to find time to recharge after a hectic start to the year…hopefully you are all ready to dive back into sport this weekend for football and next week for netball.

On Thursday I had the privilege of representing Chatswood Rangers at the Chatswood RSL Anzac Day Dawn Service. The service was held in the Garden of Remembrance in Chatswood and was a moving reminder of the foundations our great country is built upon and that many men and women before us have made sacrifices to ensure our freedom and way of life. The service was attended by hundreds of local community members and was extremely well carried out.

Following the Dawn Service I made my way to the Great Northern Hotel to assist our Senior Footballers in running the 2Up ring for the hotel. While a lot of fun was had, it was again a tribute to the brave service men and women who have defended our freedom over the years. Best of luck to all teams competing this weekend…make sure you have fun and show everyone how great it is to be a Chatswood Ranger!

Holidays over…. Game time! Hope everyone is fit and raring to go for the recommencement of the season after the school holidays. The weather forecast is great, unlike the weekend parking and traffic! The school holidays has been a hive of activity for Rangers and its coaching partner Vision, who held a football skills training camp at Chatswood High School over 3 days, plus a ‘free come and try day on Saturday’. Great to see so many new and old faces attending and gaining that extra coaching to help them with their development.

Tigers Cup The Tigers Cup was held at NTRA over the holidays and we had a number of Chatswood Rangers players representing the Northern Tigers development squads at under 8 (finalists) and under 9 (quarter finalists). We were also proud to have Chatswood Rangers represented by the under 10 Sharks team, coached by Hansel Pereira, who oversees the Chatswood Rangers under 8 and 9 development programs. The Sharks team made it to the semifinals, which is a fantastic achievement given it was their first tournament. Next up for this team is the Kanga Cup!
