Rangers RAP – 25/05/2024

May 26, 2024

With great weather this week it was good to see trainings going ahead for all teams and matches likely to go ahead as well – YEY!

Thank you to all team managers and coaches for the coordinating you do in getting your teams organised and ready for their matches. It can be challenging with changes to fixtures and players injured, sick or away. We value your contributions to the Club and think you do an amazing job. If there is any support you need…just let us know.

Have a great week everyone!

junior football

The weather is looking good for the weekend.  As always, please keep an eye on the NSFA website, as some grounds may be closed https://nsfa.asn.au/grounds/wet-weather/.

This weekend sees games played post regrade.  So hopefully all teams will now be playing opposition teams of a similar level.

The Executive Committee is well into season planning for 2025 to ensure we progress on the foundations we have laid this season, with the changes to training/coaching providers across the club at both development and community level.

The club are also looking at options for summer soccer tournaments and training as a means of keeping players and teams together and continuing their progress.  We will keep you updated as we firm up these plans.

Next week sees the NSFA Football Development team attend Chatswood High School for our training sessions on the Tuesday, to look at the progress made and the program we have implemented.  We look forward to welcoming them and discussing football development at community and JDL + level.

Volunteers needed!!

The club will be looking for volunteers in the coming months for events we will be coordinating and for the new season.  It would be great if we could get more people involved to ensure the ongoing progress of the club.  If you are interested, please email juniorfootball@chatswoodrangers.com.au.

Thanks

junior netball

Junior and Senior Netball had some wins and some losses last weekend.  The biggest win was that no games were cancelled due to wet weather…. Hooray !!

Several Rangers teams faced the elements and played in cold and rainy conditions. Some of our U10s players were super excited to play in the rain. Well done to all!

Umpiring

Congratulations to Zara Jones for achieving her Senior Level 1 umpires badge last weekend.

It’s great to see more junior players have taken up umpiring this year, some of whom have umpired their first games over the past few weeks. Our junior umpires are in great hands with Rangers Umpire Convenors Alice & Claudia to guide their development throughout the season. Good luck to all this weekend.

WIN 4 tickets to a Giants Netball home league game this season.

For your chance to win, send a photo of you or your team in action along with a caption to juniornetball@chatswoodrangers.com.au   The best photo (across Junior & Senior Netball) will be published in the newsletter and win tickets to a Giants netball game.

Penny & Lexi got to meet some NSW Giants players when they attended the Giants vs Lightning match earlier this month.

Thank you to the Giants commercial cleaning partner, Essential Facilities Services (www.essentialfs.com.au) for providing these tickets!

Reminder – No Net Set Go Games this weekend (26 May)

All NSG players, coaches and families can enjoy a weekend off.

We will see you next week at training.
