Rangers RAP – 23/07/2025

July 24, 2025

With the end of the 2025 Winter Season in sight, I would like to send out a huge pat on the back to all our netball and football players. Your efforts on the field representing Rangers are the reason our team of volunteers do what they do. Keep up the effort and represent Rangers well in the finals round of your competitions. Good luck to those of you who make finals.

Lots of great things have been happening across the courts and fields the last few weeks so take a look below and get an update across the Club. Enjoy the nice weather we have been having (much better than last year’s wet season) and try to get along to support some other teams if you can.

And…last chance to get tickets to our Trivia Night being held on Saturday 2nd August…see below for full details.

Reach out if there is any way we can help. ⚽💙

Junior Football

Hope everyone enjoyed the July school holidays and short reprieve from being chauffeurs for your kids.

Training is back in full swing and games will be updated in Dribl in the coming days, for those that don’t have any games scheduled yet.

MiniRoos Gala day (U6 – U11 community)

This will be held on the weekend of 23rd and 24th August and will be the last games of the season for this age group.

Under 6 – Under 11 End of Season Fun morning

We will be holding a fun morning at Thomson Park on Saturday 6th September from 9am – 12pm. We will have jumping castles, bbq and other activities for the teams. It will also be an opportunity for the managers to present the trophies to the players. These will be available for collection on the day of the event and have been ordered already.

Summer Training Programme

Like last year, Rangers will be running a summer training programmed for those kids interested. We will be holding twice weekly sessions at Thomson Park from Tuesday 16th September through to Thursday 11th December. You can book this programme on the club website. This is for age groups under 6 to under 11.

Kanga Cup

Great to see our JDL U10 and U11 team join forces and enter the Kanga Cup. The team enjoyed success and cold weather. Huge thank you to team manager, Zeus Irani for coordinating and managing the team. Next step is your UEFA C licence 😉

Around the grounds

Thanks for those that have sent in photos…. Great to see the training jerseys being utilised as an away strip where needed 😉

It would be great to get team photos sent in from parents and we will select the best/funniest ones to put in the RAP.

Whilst we all want to see the players and teams succeed, we need to be respectful of our coaches, the referees and those running the lines. Without those people, we don’t have games. Please ensure all spectators are on the opposite side of the field to our team coach and manager. This is a dedicated ‘technical zone’ for the teams, coach, managers and officials only. Please see below example of where supporters are not allowed to stand at CHS on game days.

Its great to shout words of encouragement, but please leave it to the coaches to give instructions to players. As a player, there is nothing worse than having 20 odd people shouting instructions at you during a game.

Any Junior Football enquiries, please email me on juniorfootball@chatswoodranger.com.au. As always, we are looking for volunteers to help run the club…don’t be afraid to contact me.

Thanks in advance for your support!⚽💙

Senior Football

There have been lots of great matches played across our Mens and Womens teams the last few weeks with a special mention to our teams who competed in various Cup competitions. Our WAA2-Blue and MPL1 teams performed well in their Cup matches but unfortunately have not progressed to the final rounds. Our MO35-1 team remains in the Rick Close Cup after a 6-0 win on Wednesday night over Kissing Point.

With the end of the season looming, I hope all players have an enjoyable end to the season and make the most of the opportunities to play some team sport. I will see some of you at the upcoming Trivia Night.

netball

Welcome back! Training and games resume this week for all teams. It was wonderful to see everyone back on the courts for training on Wednesday. Good luck with your games this weekend.

NSW Giants Players Visit

The return to netball this week was made extra special by a visit from NSW Giants Netball players, Hope White and Maddie Hay. It was a wonderful opportunity for our junior players to do some training drills with Hope & Maddie and to chat with them after training. Thank you for our club sponsor Essential Facilities Services Australia for setting up this exciting event. Check out the pics in the phot gallery below.

Pizza Night was a great way to finish up training before the school holiday break. Net Set Go and Junior Netball teams enjoyed some fun games and a chance to mingle with their teammates and friends from other teams. Thank you to our coaches for running a fun session for all junior teams. Check out some pics below.

Training and games resume this week for all teams.
