Rangers RAP – 20/06/2025
June 20, 2025
We are half way through Season 2025…hopefully you are loving it!
Half way through the season and it is a good time to remind ourselves of the hard work that our volunteers do for all of us. Thank you to our wonderful volunteer Committee for 2025! All Committee roles are unpaid volunteer positions and require a lot of time and effort so we appreciate everything they do for our Club. Team managers and parent coaches also deserve a massive thank you for their efforts in ensuring teams are ready for trainings and match days.
The old adage of “Many hands make light work” is always true in a sporting club and Rangers is no different! Please consider offering your help and support to our wonderful Coordinators and play a part in making Chatswood Rangers such a wonderful Community Club! Let’s also ensure we always carry ourselves in a way that shows the RESPECT, CARE and KINDNESS that is at the heart of Rangers. Please ensure you are familiar with our Club Code of Conduct which applies to every member of Rangers.
I hope everyone is enjoying their football and netball and making the most of the drier weather we have experienced lately!
Reach out if there is any way we can help…or if you just want to say HI! ⚽💙

Junior Football
I hope everyone is enjoying the season so far. It has been great to see all the teams training and developing their play this last few weeks. Whilst results will often be up and down, the focus should be on how the players and teams are developing over the course of the season. I am certainly seeing improvements week in week out. Whilst we all want to see the players and teams succeed, we need to be respectful of our coaches, the referees and those running the lines. Without those people, we don’t have games. Please ensure all spectators are on the opposite side of the field to our team coach and manager. This is a dedicated ‘technical zone’ for the teams, coach, managers and officials only. Please see below example of where supporters are not allowed to stand at CHS on game days.

Thanks in advance for your support!⚽💙

Senior Football
Great to see so many matches going ahead with the better weather and the use of our synthetic pitches. Teams are doing well on and off the field with special mention to our Mens O35-1 team who playing in the semi-finals of the State Cup on Sunday 29th June at Blackman Park. Kick off is at 2:45pm so get along and show them your support! It has also been great to field four Women's teams this season and see them all enjoying their football. Hopefully we can build on this next season and see more junior girls teams and even more seniors. I look forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming Trivia Night in August. Thanks in advance for your ongoing support this season! ⚽💙

It’s hard to believe we’re already in the middle of the Winter Competition with Round 8 games played last weekend. It’s wonderful to see the skill progression in all players since the beginning of the season, and how our teams are starting to gel both on and off the courts.
At the end of Round 8, we’re seeing some early success with 5 junior teams and 2 senior teams currently placed in the Top 4 on the ladder. A special mention goes to our 10C and 15C teams who are both currently sitting in first place. Well done to all players and coaches.
UMPIRES
It has been wonderful to see so many of our junior players express an interest in umpiring this year. We’ve managed to support several new umpires and many others are participating in umpire training on Wednesday nights. All of this is thanks to the hard work of Alice & Claudia, our Junior & Senior Umpire Convenors who work tirelessly behind the scenes and at the courts to support the development of umpires at Chatswood Rangers.

Congratulations to Aahana D’Souza, Annabelle Adams and Belle Middleton on achieving their umpire levels over recent weeks. Well done!!
RANGERS FAMILIES MEET NSW GIANTS PLAYERS
Congratulations to those who’ve scored some free netball tickets this year. Some of our players have been very lucky to get up close and meet some of the NSW Giants Players.

Keep your eye out for further opportunities to score some free tickets to a NSW Giants game this season. Tickets are thanks to Essential Facilities Services Australia, commercial cleaning partners for the NSW Giants and generous sponsor of Chatswood Rangers.
ROUNDS 1-8
Check out some pics from Rounds 1-8. All teams are encouraged to share your photos and stories for future newsletters. Go Rangers!

Thank you for your ongoing support!
