Rangers RAP – 13/04/2024

April 12, 2024

I hope everyone has enjoyed the start to the season and this weekend gets to enjoy a full round 2 of the competition without interference from the rain. Playing a Winter sport means we can often have training and matches cancelled due to the weather, so please ensure you are aware of the wet weather alerts and be active in the team chat groups.

Currently I am out of Sydney until the 22nd April as I am taking part in the Autumn Shitbox Rally in an effort to raise money for The Cancer Council of Australia – so far this rally has raised over $2.6 million dollars and is still going! I have the honor of driving alongside my great friend, and past Rangers President, Mike King as team “The Blue Presidents” and we are accompanied by another team of Rangers members Richard Pickton and Pete Askew in team “The Green Hornet”. So far we have driven from Sydney to Adelaide with the Rally kicking off today with the plan on ending up in Perth in about 8 days time.

As part of the fund raising effort, The Blue Presidents have teamed up with Chatswood Rangers and are running a raffle. Tickets are available in the online shop or at Springbok Delights. Proceeds of the raffle will be shared 50:50 between Chatswood Rangers and the fund raising efforts of The Blue Presidents. To follow our adventure, take a look at updates on The Blue Presidents Facebook Page and other Shitbox Rally social media.

Let’s try that again…Kick Off!

With the rain finally cleared, the season can get underway this weekend.  It was great to see teams (and parents) undeterred by this week’s rain and out training.

Good luck to all the teams from U6 to U18 who kick off the season this weekend.  The preseason training that has been happening over the last few weeks will stand you all in good stead.

Thank you to everyone who came to the season opener at the Great Northern Hotel.  It was great to see everyone enjoying the afternoon, despite the lack of games on the actual day.  The Club will be arranging further social events during the season, so we hope to see you all again soon.

During the season, please send any inquiries regarding Community Football to the Junior Football Secretary at juniorfootball@chatswoodrangers.com.au

uniforms

here has been a flurry of purchasing from the Rangers Shop to get socks, shorts and shirts ready for the start of the season. Hoodies and Jackets are also moving fast and won’t be restocked soon so get in quick if you need something.

To kick off the season we have some new items and some sales!

GRIP SOCKS & CUT-OFF SOCKS

Some players have requested ‘Grip Socks’ so we are trialling these items to see what response we get. There is very limited stock available right now – and they are on SALE!

If they prove to be popular we will get more stock.

SALE ITEMS

Apart from the Grip and Cut-off socks, we also have Caps and Backpacks on sale at the moment – grab them while they last!

And don’t worry…the cap is not as big as the backpack!!
