Rangers RAP – 10/05/2024

May 11, 2024

A few incidents in matches over the last few weeks have led me to remind all Chatswood Rangers members (players, parents, officials and volunteers) of the expectations we have of our members and spectators. All members are a reflection of the Club and we want Chatswood Rangers to be known as a fair, honest, respectful and caring community club. You are all responsible for your own behaviour and actions, but we also expect you to regulate the actions of other members around you.

All members of Chatswood Rangers Sports Club should be aware of the Club Code of Conduct and ensure they abide by it at all times. Behaviour that does against the Code of Conduct, is disrespectful to others and goes against the ideals of fair play and sportsmanship, will not be tolerated at Chatswood Rangers. Sometimes we are faced with difficult situations – opposition player’s words or actions; spectators calling out and antagonising players; referee decisions that you find hard to accept; and so on. In these situations, we need to stay calm and do the right thing. Remind yourself that we are playing sport…not in a battle, we have a responsibility to represent the Club with integrity, and we are all role models for our children and younger players in the Club.

My ask of all members is…

BE A CHATSWOOD RANGER

BE the one to always take the higher ground

BE the one to walk away

BE the one to respect the referee’s decision

BE the one to help an opposition player

BE the one to celebrate victories and accept defeats

BE A CHATSWOOD RANGER

Having said all of the above, if you experience any issues while playing a match or being involved in a Rangers event that you feel should be reported, please reach out to one of the Secretaries or myself.

And…a very happy Mothers Day to all the Rangers mums – we appreciate everything you do for us a hope you have a wonderful weekend.

junior football

Another weekend of frustrating rain for us all.  As always, I will notify all managers by COB Friday of any ground closures impacting on our games.  These also available at https://nsfa.asn.au/grounds/wet-weather/

With the commencement of Female Football Week, members were out in force at the Great Northern Hotel to watch the women’s final on Saturday.

We also had our G18 DL team playing the main game of the day at Chatswood HS, with a great turn out of support for the team.
