Netball Managers Roles and Responsibilites

Thanks for taking on the very important role of team manager.  It is very important that you understand your official responsibilities, which are listed below.

Handle communications between your team and the Club.

Ensure all players/parents are familiar with Chatswood Rangers and NSNA websites.

Ensure player knows how to access wet weather information (www.northsnetball.com.au or 1900 920 282).

Familiarise yourself with the Managers Manual, available from ‘Managers Library’.

Know the Code of Conduct & Club Rules, and ensure that players, parents, coaches, spectators and officials abide by it at all times.

Know the correct rules of the game.

Ensure all adults (coach, manager, parent helpers at training, scorers) dealing with any children in your team have completed a Prohibited Person Declaration.

Ensure that you have a full team of players each week, refer to rules on borrowing players (Playing Up) in the Managers Manual.

Ensure all players are in correct uniform and have no piercings or jewellery.

Ensure all players have signed scoresheets and master sheets.

Ensure all players sit the AANA umpires exam if they don’t already hold a “current pass”.
